What Is Animal-Assisted Therapy?

Depression, loneliness, stress and anxiety threaten the health of our society. Often times, old age and rehabilitation foster the negative emotional, psychological, and physical ailments that can take a damaging toll on our well-being.

While not considered to be a conventional healing method, animal-assisted therapy has proven to increase the health of those in agony and bring comfort to those in need.

The miracles of pet therapy on human health are evident and real.

Pet therapy is gaining credibility in the medical community, particularly as a mood booster for the elderly.

Materials-Stains-Finishes

American Hardwoods - We only use kiln dried American hardwoods. Our hardwoods are hand selected for their grain character and beauty. The end result is a fine piece of furniture.

Stains - These colors are shown on oak wood samples. All hardwoods have their own unique grain patterns and some accept stain more readily than others, therefore, these colors will look different on different types of wood. It is best to discuss wood type and colors with one of our experienced staff.

Glazing -optional $300.00-Some people like the look and charm of antique furniture. This is a special finish technique intended to make furniture look like a fine antique.

Finish - A fine furniture finish is designed to enhance and protect the natural beauty of the wood. Finish can be divided into four areas: color, look, feel, and protection. We hand finish in multiple stages and protect with four layers of pre-catalyzed lacquer, which is sprayed-on with our state of the art commercial equipment. This process allows the clarity of the wood grain to show through and the hues blend together to create a warm, soft, and sophisticated look.

Tempered Safety Glass - your new aviary has tempered glass on the front & back. This is a superior product over acrylics. Over time acrylics get a dull or dirty look that cannot be removed. Tempered glass is the preferred choice by the NBA, NCAA and most gymnasiums to be used as basketball backboards, because of its strength and clarity.

Casters - Our Eden & Serenity cabinet base models comes standard on commercial style caters. These heavy-duty rubber wheels will roll over hardwood, tile, and even carpet.
